It had just been a minor demonstration, but clearly it was enough to impress Rail. She didn’t put her staff away and held onto it with a small laugh.
“Where I’m from, not everyone can use magic. In a way, you have to be born with the potential to learn. I’m one of them obviously. I didn’t know it though ‘til my Master took one look at me when I was a kid an’ asked me to be his student. I’ve been trainin’ ever since under his guidance.”
His excitement over her small display made her feel warm inside, her smile causing her cheeks to flourish with red now from how wide it had grown. Although, he was starting to get a little too close. Sure, Sora didn’t usually respect people’s personal space that often either and got real close to them, but when she was on the receiving end it felt so strange!
This thing she could do was normal where she came from? Even in his home country of Issium, magic was something that was spoken like a fairy tale. Sure, of course there were some that said they could do it, and rumors also flittered about, but with the amount of technology they had to run their kingdom, such a thing was barely thought of when they functioned so well.
But it was interesting; The very idea of it and perhaps mixing the two was quite the thought.
“That’s something!!” He spoke up, voice rather enthusiastic to go along with his rather surprised and interested look on his face. Rail wanted to see more of it actually– Now that left another phrase bubbling up his throat. “Hey– Can you take me to meet more people like you? I’m interested! I wanna see more!”
Whether this would end well for anyone else… That was something that would most likely end with the answer ‘no’, knowing his personality.
