“No, I didn’t hit my head! I’m just absolutely not from around here—” Scoffing under his breath, the Hero frowned unhappily while he still contemplated what to do. As curious he was, he really didn’t want to risk anything. Things had been unpleasant enough in the past weeks — he still felt tired and exhausted; clearly affected by everything happening around him. Perhaps he shouldn’t have even split up with Shion now… After all, if he needed to fight, he still wasn’t quite capable of doing so, traumatised by what had happened. Licking his lips, the brunet was about to turn away and summon a gate leading back to where he came from, though naturally he wasn’t ever that lucky.
Groaning under his breath, he more or less allowed the other to step closer, though he quickly slipped out of the raven’s grasp and brought some distance between them again. Yep, that guy was too much like Elf. It creeped him out, reminding him far too much of a couple things.
“Uh, I guess… it’s nice to meet you, Rail-san?” He couldn’t really predict this guy at all, better keep a formal distance between them. Though, he had to admit that Rail’s enthusiasm about the city ahead — the capital? — made him all the more curious now. Glancing to the side, he sighed briefly before he tugged on the scarf around his neck to keep the fabric from sticking to his skin. Still, he shook his head and shrugged.
“Not really, it’s fine. I come from a village right between the desert and a port town. I’m used to these temperatures—” Although he really preferred the lower temperatures of the Demon World nowadays. “Alright, lead the way? I guess you made mme curious, Rail-san.”
Whoops, there the guy went, right out of the programmer’s grasp just as quickly as he had a hand on him to begin with. At least the guy had nice reflexes, right? That made things a little more interesting to bother him now! There wasn’t anyone else around for God knows how far, so that meant the other wasn’t going to be avoiding him anytime soon despite how odd it was for someone to be coming from the opposite direction and not be dead yet. Alba had to be unbearably lucky, or he just ran out of whatever was keeping alive.
Or maybe… It was something different? Wouldn’t that be interesting.
“Hm? Rail San? I said my name was Rail Gillard, not Rail San, didn’t I?” Maybe it was some sort of nickname. Alba didn’t seem like the type honestly, but hey, he could play that game too if it came down to it– Something better than calling him ‘pumpkin man’ as he was before he knew the guy’s name.
“Anyway, that’s good! The capital’s a pretty cool place, yanno!” Rail continued, arms lifting to rest behind his head, spinning to walk backwards so to face the brunet following him from behind. Though, one arm didn’t stay there for long, soon allowing a hand to point a thumb in the direction of the city in the distance. “Issium’s the most technologically advanced country in the world, sooo the capital’s definitely something to see if you’re not from here!”
And part of him just wanted to show off because hey, he technically ruled this country. Even though he was… You know, technically dead in the eyes of his people. Rail would fix that at a later date, of course!
